Forum post 7 - Coursework Example The law dictates that everything, whether done in public or in private, must be done in ways that respect the laws of the land. Wearing veils should happen in both public and private. However, some families refuse to let some of the things that must be done in public translate in their private lives. Marjane’s grandmother, for instance, takes off her veil in private. Marjane thinks patriotism doesn’t necessarily mean not allowing even a bit of the western culture.
